Ultra HD Forum welcomes key industry players, hosts meeting during CES to address critical Ultra HD adoption issues.

Fremont, California, December 16th 2015: Ultra HD Forum continues to grow with the arrival of 15 new members since IBC bringing the total to over 45. New members include Broadcom, DIRECTV, TNO, Marvell, Sky, Unified Streaming, Fox, Sigma Designs, SkyPerfecTV, Communicare Digital.

The forum has made significant progress on defining first version of its Guidelines that will enable operators to deploy next generation UHD services integrating High Dynamic Range in 2016. Currently under review by the Forum’s members the guidelines will be published before NAB’16.

The next Ultra HD Forum Member meeting will take place on the 5th January from 4pm to 8pm in Las Vegas and non-members are welcome to attend as observers. Please send an email toinfo@ultrahdforum.org to register you interest. Amongst the subjects to be discussed will be Next Generation Audio, Backward compatibility, Security, 2016 field trials including live events and ATSC 3.0 testing.

  • CTA Alliance of Alliance Community Reception Thursday January 7, 16:00-18:00 @ Venetian Level 2, Bellini 2005 The forum will be represented at this reception which is open to all CES attendees
